At a meeting in Guadalajara, leaders agreed that Americas section of the world comprised of two continents: South America and North America.  In terms of population and social geography, North America is the United States and Canada. Everything further south is Latin America. In terms of Geology everything north of the Isthmus of Panama is North America. Central America is part of Latin America.
In terms of population and social geography North America is overpopulated. Overpopulation can be defined by sprawl, cars, roads, parking lots and environmental harm.
