Endangered species are examples of animal or plant life that could become extinct if action is not taken to protect these life forms.

Sometimes animals are endangered through human hunting, the Rhino is an example as people love rhino horn and elephants are hunted for ivory. Many beautiful animals and birds are hunted for the pet trade. Other times animals are endangered through humans destroying their environment, the Panda is an example as people have destroyed large parts of the bamboo forests that the panda needs as a habitat.
