Girl is the term used to describe young females, typically below the age of 25. However, the boundary between "girl" and "woman" is growing increasingly blurry. If she's had complete sex or got married she's more likely to be a woman.
Girl...Woman
Many women can say "girl's night out," and mean women. By contrast, many girls can call themselves "women" and not really mean it, there's a bad side to being a girl as a girl's immature.
Age...............................Term
1-5...................................Girl
6-10..................................Girl
11-15.................................Girl
16-20.................................Mostly Girl, some Woman
20-25.................................Mostly Woman, some Girl
26-40.................................Woman, a few Girl
41+...................................Woman
Girl...boy
Calling a young female a girl can sometimes be a complement as it suggests that she’s young, virginal and attractive. Conservatives want women to be childlike and submissive so they encourage young females to see themselves as girls rather than women. By contrast calling a young male a boy is never a complement.
Girls who like "boyish" things
Sunnie Kahle was 8 years old when she got into trouble with her school. Sunnie doesn't mind being a girl but likes to have her hair short, to wear "boys clothes" or "transgendered clothes," she likes to play "boys' games." The teachers at a private Christian school where Sunnie went thought she should be more "girlish." Below is what Doris Thompson, her great grandmother who's bringing Sunnie up said and did.
A teacher told me I was the parent and I needed to control her, and if she didn't obey I needed to take her in the bathroom and whip her butt," Thompson said. Rather than just dismiss the teacher's concerns, she asked the family doctor for advice. "He said, 'Leave that child alone!'" she said. Afterward, Thompson said the teacher told her: "You need to find a Christian doctor."[1]
Sunnie's guardians decided she'd do better at a different school. [2]
Why is Sunnie Kahle comfortable about being a girl? Perhaps that's because her great grandparents aren't like the teachers at her previous school. Sunnie is allowed to be the type of girl she wants to be. Forcing her to be more girlish could make her resentful and more likely to want a sex change later.

Liberality
Women, and so girls, are inherently liberal. The only reason why any women might call themselves conservative is if:
- They live next to Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, or Rush Limbaugh
- She is Ann Coulter or Sarah Palin
- They were terribly abused during their childhood (oh, same thing as above)
- She doesn't know what the Republicans do when it comes to rights for women!
Seriously young people of both sexes tend to be progressive and therefore liberal.
