Hominids are Ape-men and Human. Hominids include Australopithecus, modern Humans, also those in between like Neanderthal man and homo erectus.
Some definitions of hominid include chimpanzees, gorillas, orang-utans and their extinct ancestors as hominids.[1] Other definitions leave out the great Apes. [2]
