Jamaica is an island nation in the Caribbean. Jamaica is a Parliamentary democracy with a population of just under 3 million. The Jamaicans speak English and Patois which is a mixture of English and various European, Asian and African languages. Language experts can't agree if Patois is an English dialect or a separate language.

It has a tropical climate and is a popular tourist destination.

Jamaicans are known for wearing dredlocks mostly because of Bob Marley. Rastafarianism started in Jamaica but most Jamaicans are Christians of other denominations. Some belong to Islam or other faiths.
