Jupiter is the largest planet in the Solar System, and a Gas Giant with a strong gravitational field. It has cool moons including Europa where NASA plans to search for life. Jupiter has a large Hurricane-like storm on it called the Big Red Spot, which is about 3 times larger than the Earth.

Jupiter has four large moons that consist of virtually all of the combined mass of all of Jupiter's moons. These four moons are called the Galilean moons, as they were discovered by Galileo Galilei. The moons are the following: Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto, in order from closest to furthest from Jupiter. From most mass to least mass, they are as follows: Ganymede, Callisto, Io, Europa. Jupiter has numerous other very small moons. Io is highly volcanically active, due to the planet's deformation due to Jupier's gravitational pull.
