John Nathan Deal is a Republican in Georgia who was the governor from 2011-2019. He is known for taking out the entire Dekalb Board of Education (which is a slight bit more valuable than spending all the money on fishing). However; he made a ridiculous comment on the integration of Wilcox High proms by calling them "silly liberals".
Deal opposed an improvement to medical care in Georgia which could have got 650,000 low-income Georgians medical cover. Polls showed the majority of Georgians supported the expansion to Medicaid. [1]

On September 11 2015 Deal issued a excutive order recognizing Sept 11 as Patriot Day and a National Day of Service and Remembrance Due to what happened on 9/11-2001.[2]
