National Socialism, is the common translation of the German term, nationalsozialistische, as used in the German Party designation "Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei". National Socialism is more commonly known as Nazism (also spelt Naziism). The term is used to refer to the collective pre-existing ideologies put into practice by Adolf Hitler and the National Socialist German Workers' Party - more commonly known as the Nazi Party - throughout the latter half of the 1930s and the first half of the 1940s.

Among reactionary conservatives, the tendency is to use the translated title, National Socialism, to obscure the fact that the Nazis tried to create a nationalist German society, rather than a socialist German nation.

Basic ideologies within Nazism include;

Extreme Collectivism
Anti-Homosexuality (With qualification)
Aryan Supremacy

As any sane person can tell, Nazism is just about the most horrific, extreme, despicable ideology imaginable, and anyone that follows it must have serious mental health issues. Contrary to the current conservative fashion of emphasizing the "Socialist" in their name (as a way of associating Socialism with Fascism), the Nazis were socialist in name only and actual socialists were among the first people marked for death. Also, contrary to the bleating of the same conservatives, the Nazis were on the right-fringe of politics, not the left.
