Power has more than one meaning..


Power can mean being able to do things.

  1. In many societies Rich people have too much power.
  2. In many societies Poor people have too little power.

Power is a key sociological concept with several different meanings and considerable disagreement surrounding them. The most common [is] ability to control others, events, or resources; to make happen what one wants to happen in spite of obstacles, resistance, or opposition. Power is a thing that is held, coveted, seized, taken away, lost, or stolen, and it is used in what are essentially adversarial relationships involving conflict between those with power and those without. [1]

Fuel and energy

Power can also mean energy.

  1. Green power means Renewable energy.
  2. Worse forms of power deplete Fossil fuel and add to Global warming.
