Slovenia is a democratic country in the crossroads of the Balkans and Central Europe. It is a member of the European Union and NATO.
Recent History
Slovenia used to be part of Yugoslavia. Slovenia broke away just before the wars between the different parts of Former Yugoslavia started and after a ten day war [1] stayed at peace. Slovenia is a former communist country which is fairly successfully modernising its economy and restoring democracy.
