The map showing Earth's hemispheres
The Southern Hemisphere is the part of the planet Earth between the Equator and the South pole. The Southern Hemisphere includes virtually all Oceania (including all Australia), New Zealand, Antarctica, most of South America, parts of Africa and a few islands of Asia.
The map on the right shows Earth's hemispheres: northern and southern, divided by the equator; and eastern and western with the prime meridian separating them.
