Warren Edward Buffett (/ˈbʌfɨt/; born August 30, 1930) is an American business magnate, investor and philanthropist. He is the most successful investor in the world. Buffett is the chairman, CEO and largest shareholder of Berkshire Hathaway, and is consistently ranked among the world's wealthiest people. He was ranked as the world's wealthiest person in 2008 and as the third wealthiest in 2015. In 2012 Time named Buffett one of the world's most influential people.[1]

We (kind of) respect him

Warren Buffett is one of the Rich people you can just about respect.[2]

Buffett, who’s worth an estimated $63.1 Billion, has long advocated for raising taxes on the rich, often citing the fact that he pays a lower tax rate than his secretary. His so-called Buffett Rule would tax all millionaires at least 30%.

In 2011, after Buffett advocated raising taxes on rich people like himself, Fox News accused him of being a socialist. Then-Daily Show host Jon Stewart responded to Fox:

"Is Warren Buffet a socialist? You really have no [bleep]ing clue what socialism is, do you? 'Hey, hey, that George Clooney, always bangin’ different broads. What a queer!'"

Right Wing people and groups like Fox News frequently call people and ideas socialist when they aren't socialist. This is done to put their supporters against moderate Left Wing ideas and people.

Bitcoin

Warren Buffett is an old rich person who barely ever uses a computer, hates bitcoin because he probably doesn't understand blockchain because he is too old to think about it, and believes that "bitcoin does not produce anything." (Make Bitcoin go to at least $20,000 to beat the previous December 2017 record and to make sure that the 99% have control of bitcoin.) He has done a good thing, though. He has given 31 billion dollars to charity. He is known as the "Oracle of Omaha" after his home town where he has been since he was a young boy. He recently donated 3.4 billion of Berkshire Hathaway stock. Fortunately for us Liberapedians, he is a Democrat and believes in charity. Don't hold a grudge against him. The reason he does not believe in Bitcoin is because he is stuck in the time in which he was young and does not know what to do with a computer except play PingPong.
